When its small.....

In the many days of our summer the waves are flat we like to find other things to do outside the ocean, believe it or not. Skateboarding is a great way to improve our surfing whether it is cross stepping, carving, or getting shacked. Here is a look at some of the things we do when the waves are small. -lars

Wave Check - Straws Point

On the north end of cable crew home spot Cable Rd., lies straws point.  It is a left, only breaking good in waist-high or bigger.  One of the main attracting factors of this spot is that it is a mellow point-break.  Watch for this spot to break good during hurricane swells.  You can get it good alone some times, but there will be a crowd of long-boarders there if the swell is good.

Experience needed: little (if small)

Yesterdays Shred

Yesterday there were a few fun sets coming through despite the massive crowd we had some good ones. We were lucky enough to have Joel come out and shoot from the water. Here is what he came up with. -lars

Rip My Shredstick

Lots of the cable crew gathered at the wall on July sixth for the Hurley Rip My Shredstick event. The contest had a very laid back criteria so competitors were getting as creative as they could. Congrats to cable crew member Tristan for taking home the win. Other notable performances were Crowley, Carson, and Margaret. Here are a few pictures from the contest but we will have a bunch more soon. -lars

Fun day at cable

Today some cable crew members shredded at cable. We were lucky enough to have my boy David come down and shoot in the water with his gopro! The waves were really fun and David came out with some sick shots. We should have more shots soon! Take a look.-Lars
