Rhode Trip

Jose, who you may know from his photography during our last good swell, came a long with me to Rhode Island.  He was a little skeptical about this spot we told him about, but was amazed at how good it was.  the wind was hard offshore, and the waves were FIRING.  By the end of the session at this crowded "secret" spot, the waves had picked up more than two feet.  There were the occasional closeout sets that no one made it over, but overall it was fun.

To sum it up: We went to Rhode Island and we scored... HARD.

You know when there is a solid swell when the left at Point Judith is closing out

Keep in mind, that outer break is a half-mile away.  When you see a 15 footer barrel off at the entrance to the harbor, it just makes you wish you had a jet-ski.
This is normally flat when it is chest-high

The dots are surfers, and this is one of the smaller sets of the day.
