2014 Northeast Regional Surfing Championship

On the weekend of May 10 we headed down to long beach island, New Jersey  for four days of surf and good times. The waves were really fun through out the weekend and the comp ran perfectly. Lars shot through the quarter finals and semi finals with back to back heat wins on Saturday. He also advanced through his longboard qualifying heat. On top of that New Hampshire and the rest of the NNE Squad took home a second place in the all start tag team event thanks to a great performance by Quinn Batagliese , Robbie Goddwinn, Lars Hamilton, and Kai Nichols. On Sunday the swell had faded a little for the finals but there was still some fun waves coming through. Lars struggled through his Boys Shortboard final and just couldn't get on the right waves, resulting in 5th place finish. But his luck turned in the menehune longboard final were he cross stepped his way to a 1st place finish, and his first Northest Regional Title. The contest was amazing and everyone had a blast. There's a few stills attached below but Carson has some awesome gopro watershots in editing that you should be able to see very soon.
Brayden shot through the quarter finals of menehune Shortboard but he went down in the semis. Not to worry though as he has about 6 more years competing in menehune.
