Wave Check- Freak's Peak

North Hampton State Beach is known for it's small-to-no surf in the summer, however, on the southern end of the beach, bordering Plaice Cove, lies Freak's Peak, one of NH best right-hand barrels.  Watch for many surfers working for rivaling companies Cinnamon Rainbows, and Cable Crew home-shop Summer Sessions shredding this wave when the surf is head-high at the beach.  This spot favors only offshore winds, high tide, and is a short ride.  You can find this spot empty, or very crowded depending on the quality of the wave.  When it is crowded, it is experienced only, as the spot is only 50 yards across.  When surfing this spot, remember to RESPECT THE LOCALS, so if you're not so sure on your surfing abilities, wait till the lineup is empty, or don't bother paddling out.
for experienced surfers, this is some of NH's best beach-break.  -Carson
The lineup at Freak's.  The tide is wrong and the waves are waaaaay to small, but when it's on, you can watch guys getting shacked from here.
